You will be picked up from the airport by a Bamba Climb representative and driven to your chosen accommodation in Arusha. You will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. Arusha, nestled beneath Mount Meru, is the safari capital of Tanzania. In the morning, your safari guide will collect you from your lodge. We set out for Tarangire National Park across gently rolling Masai plains. From the open roof of our 4x4 safari jeep, we will explore the seasonal swamps, savanna, and the life-giving Tarangire River, seeking out elephant herds, zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe. It is possible we will glimpse lions or leopards in the trees. After a full day game drive, we drive to the appointed lodge near Karatu for dinner and overnight. Rise and shine for an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will descend a steep track into the 600m-deep caldera (collapsed volcano). The crater floor is home to over 25,000 mammals, ranging from the Big Five to over 500 bird species. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
